Tried the 'ice first' method for my pour over and it actually worked better
Everyone says to pre-heat your dripper and carafe with hot water. I skipped that step and put ice in the carafe first instead. Brewed my Ethiopian Yirgacheffe right onto the ice. Got a way brighter, cleaner cup. Less of that bitter aftertaste I always got. Anyone else try this with a light roast?
