Tbh, I used a regular spoon for my pour-over for months before switching to a proper gooseneck kettle.

The control from the Hario kettle's spout gave me way less channeling and a cleaner cup in under a week. Anyone have a good budget kettle option under $50?

I mean... it's just hot water, right? People act like you need a science degree to make coffee now. My old kettle pours fine and my coffee tastes fine... maybe we're overthinking a morning drink.
