Overheard at the counter and it hit me how coffee chat changed

I was getting a cup yesterday and listened to folks describe their drink with words like 'juicy' and 'bright'. It took me back to when my dad just made a pot of whatever brand was cheap. We never thought about where the beans came from or how they were roasted. These days, my buddy texts me about his new hand grinder and water filters. It's wild to see how much effort goes into a single cup now. Part of me loves the care, but sometimes I just want a hot mug without the talk.
