My grinder dialed in the same 18 clicks for 47 days straight, and that number shocked me
I decided to write down my grinder setting on a sticky note every morning back in March. After 47 days in a row, the note read 18 clicks every single time. I thought I was adjusting all the time, but my hand was just doing the same thing out of habit. What surprised me was the coffee got boring around day 30, and the note is what showed me why. I was buying new beans every week but never touching the grind, so every cup landed in the same spot. Now I change the setting on purpose when I open a new bag and the cups actually taste different from each other. Does anyone else keep a log like this, or am I just the weirdo with sticky notes on the counter?
