My French press broke at 6am and I panicked for 10 minutes straight

Last Tuesday I dropped the carafe of my 3 year old Bodum French press onto the kitchen tile. Glass went everywhere and I had no backup brew method ready. I stood there staring at the mess for a full minute before realizing I had a pour-over cone buried in the back of a cabinet. It took me 3 tries to get the grind size right without a proper burr grinder. First cup tasted like mud, second was weak, third was decent but not great. Anyone else keep a backup brewer around just in case?

Yeah I saw a video where a guy keeps a cheap plastic funnel as his backup.

A guy I know swears by a cracked plastic oil jug he cut in half and keeps under his truck seat. Says he's used it more than his actual funnel collection.
