Hot take: French press beats pour over every time
Been testing both methods for 6 weeks now. Used the same beans from a local roaster in Portland. Pour over is too fussy. You gotta watch the water temp, the pour speed, the bloom time. French press? Grind coarse, dump hot water, wait 4 minutes, press. The flavor is fuller and I get way more body. Has anyone else switched back from pour over to french press and stayed there?

Life or death decision"?? Dude you clearly haven't tasted the difference between a bad pour over and a good french press. It's practically a religious war in the coffee world.
