Dropped $200 on a fancy gooseneck kettle and it feels like a total scam.

I got it because everyone online said it was a must for pour-over, but my $30 basic kettle from the grocery store pours just as well. The only difference is the price tag and a fancy dial I never use. Am I missing something, or is this just hype?

Feel the same about most coffee gear. You're paying for looks and brand names, not better coffee. The cheap stuff works just fine.
