Barista laughed at my oat milk request in Portland
I asked for oat milk in my flat white and this guy behind the counter actually snorted and said 'might as well order a smoothie.' It was 7am on a Wednesday and I just wanted my coffee before work. Has anyone else gotten judged this hard just for a milk preference?

Laugh it off and order the oat milk anyway, because honestly, I once asked for almond milk in a tiny Texas diner and the cook handed me a glass of milk with a side of almonds. People get weird about what goes in their coffee, but at the end of the day it's just a drink, not a personal attack. You do you, and let that barista stew in his own espresso.
