Appreciation post: the $9 hand grinder from a yard sale in Tucson that I almost left behind
Bought it last month for $9 mostly to have a spare, and now my $150 electric sits in the cabinet collecting dust because the hand grind is somehow more fun at 6am. Anyone else end up using the cheap backup way more than the fancy one they saved up for?
Did your arm ever get tired the first week or did you get used to it fast? My buddy did almost the same thing, grabbed a beat up hand grinder at a flea market in Phoenix for like 12 bucks just to keep at his desk at work. Now he gets to the office early just to make his own cup with it and the fancy electric one he bought two years ago just sits there. He says the slow part is what he likes, it wakes him up better than the coffee does.
