Wasted $75 on a Python course that promised too much

I bought this course about building web apps from scratch. The ad said it was for complete beginners. Three hours in and the instructor was throwing around terms like API endpoints and middleware without explaining any of them. I watched the first 5 modules hoping it would click but it just got worse. Ended up moving to a free YouTube series that actually starts from zero. Has anyone else gotten burned by those overhyped beginner courses?

Saying it "promised too much" feels a bit harsh. I mean, API endpoints and middleware are pretty basic stuff for building web apps, even for beginners. A course can't just avoid those words forever, you gotta start somewhere. Three hours in and expecting to master everything is like buying a guitar and getting mad the instructor shows you how to tune it on day one. Free YouTube is fine but it usually skips the structure you get from a paid course. Maybe give it another shot with a notebook handy, write down terms you don't know and look them up later.

Is it really that deep though? It's just a web dev course.
