Update: My browser crashed 9 times after one VS Code extension

I added a syntax highlighter for Python last Tuesday and within an hour my whole machine froze on a loop. Uninstalled it and the difference was night and day, everything ran smooth again. Has anyone else had a single extension wreck their setup like this?

Did you have any weird extensions before that messed with other stuff too? Honestly, I had a linter that made my whole editor lag like crazy, took me a week to figure out it was the culprit. It’s wild how one tiny add-on can just wreck everything, but glad you caught it quick.
