Tried using virtualenv for the first time and my terminal looked like a Christmas tree 30 minutes later

I went from one clean prompt to 17 nested directories and a bunch of colored text because I accidentally activated the same environment inside itself four times, has anyone else's command line turned into a total mess from something this silly?

Read somewhere that most people have at least one hidden copy of something they forgot about... it's like digital hoarding but with extra steps. Heard a guy on a podcast say he found 14 versions of the same grocery list he kept hitting clone on by accident. Your four times is actually pretty tame compared to some horror stories I've seen online about people duplicating their entire email folders without realizing it.
