PSA: The 2 week difference I saw after I stopped using W3Schools
I spent my first month copying code from W3Schools tutorials and my projects barely worked, then I switched to MDN docs and in 2 weeks my JavaScript actually started making sense. Anyone else notice a huge gap in quality between those two resources when you're starting out?

Holding MDN up like it's the only good resource is a bit much... W3Schools has gotten a lot better in the last few years. They fixed a ton of their old bad examples and outdated stuff. The real gap is that MDN teaches you the spec and how things actually work under the hood, while W3Schools just shows you the quickest way to copy and paste something that runs. Both have their place, but if you're trying to actually learn JavaScript instead of just getting a button to work, MDN is where you need to be living for a while.

W3Schools still doesn't explain event loop mechanics though, which is pretty fundamental stuff.
