Why do people keep forgetting to account for tool nose radius in their offsets?
I swear every other setup I take over has parts coming in undersized because someone just threw in a new insert without adjusting the wear offset. Just had a job yesterday where the dims were off by .003 and it took me 45 minutes to figure out why. How do you guys handle it when you see someone else's offsets are clearly not set right?

Wait people are really just swapping inserts and not checking the nose radius? That's wild to me. .003 is a lot to just leave on the table like that. I mean, I get that CAM might bake it in, but you gotta verify. Tool nose radius is one of those things that'll mess you up every time if you don't stay on top of it. How hard is it to just touch off and check your first part before running a whole batch?

@shedd89 yeah I read that tool nose radius gets baked into CAM defaults but then nobody double checks when they swap inserts, @oliver719 said it, people rush.
