Found out tool offsets can drift from thermal expansion, my 3pm parts proved it

I run a small shop in Dayton and last week I noticed my last batch of aluminum parts were coming out 0.003 inches oversized. Been doing this for 6 years and never thought about the spindle heating up over a 4 hour run. Checked the machine manual after a buddy mentioned it and sure enough. Has anyone else seen this on their machines and do you just add a compensation value or wait for it to cool?

Wait, you really trust that flimsy manual over what the parts tell you?
