Finally caved on touch probes after 11 years of manual setups

Honestly, I always figured touch probes were for fancy shops with deep pockets. My little Haas VF-2 in Toledo has been running fine with my edge finder routine since 2013. Last month I had a rush job with 24 different offsets and I was still cranking handles at 6pm. A buddy loaned me his spare Renishaw probe for a week and I ran that same setup in under an hour. Ngl, I ordered my own the next day. Anyone else hold out on tool setters or probes longer than they should?

That 24 offsets in under an hour is the kicker right there. Once you run a batch job with a probe, you can't go back to edge finders without feeling like you're wasting half the day.
