Can we talk about how I swore off G10 for aluminum until that job at the shop in Dayton last week
I used to think G10 was only good for roughing and that you always had to slow way down for finish passes on 6061. Then my boss handed me a batch of 240 parts with a tight deadline and I had no choice but to push it. Ran it at 8000 rpm with a 3 flute and the finish came out cleaner than my old slow passes, and I knocked out the whole run in two days instead of four. Guess I was just scared of the sound it made. Anyone else switch up their speeds and feeds after being convinced one way for years?
