A 30 year guy at the shop told me to stop using the coolant nozzle like a fire hose
I was flooding my 4140 roughing passes and he said to back the pressure way down and aim the stream right at the insert tip instead, said it cuts better and uses less coolant. Tried it on a run of 60 parts last Tuesday and my insert life went from about 40 pieces to over 80, no lie. Anyone else run low pressure high aim on turning or is that just a Haas thing?
