Why does nobody talk about how much water a single load of laundry really costs you in Phoenix
I got my July water bill in Phoenix and it jumped $38, then I found out my machine uses 45 gallons on the deep wash setting while a normal cycle uses around 20. Anyone else switch to cold short cycles out there and actually see a drop?
My buddy out in Chandler ran the numbers on his machine last summer and found out the deep wash cycle was eating like 40 gallons a pop. He switched to the quick cold setting for everything except towels and his bill dropped about 25 bucks the next month. He also stopped doing tiny loads and waits until he has a full drum, which probably helped just as much as the cold water did. So yeah, it adds up fast when you're running three or four loads a week in July.
