Used to leave my car idling for 10 minutes every morning to warm it up in winter
After a neighbor in Buffalo told me that modern engines only need 30 seconds, I started shutting it off immediately. Has anyone else noticed a real drop in their gas bill from doing this?

Ten minutes? That's a whole TV show episode just for warming up a car.

Most modern cars don't need more than 30 seconds to a minute of idling before you can drive off. Driving gently actually warms up the engine faster than sitting still.
