TIL my local library lets you borrow a thermal camera for home energy checks

I always figured those heat loss audits were a gimmick, but last Tuesday I borrowed one from the Des Moines branch and found a draft around my back door that explained my $190 heating bill. Has anyone else used one of these, and did it actually save you money on fixes?
