Thinking about taking a remote job to lower my driving emissions
I have a chance to work from home full-time, which would really reduce my car use. But I'm worried about missing office social stuff, is it worth it?

You said you're worried about missing the office social stuff, and I get that. I read an article in the Atlantic last month that called remote work an "engine of loneliness" for a lot of people. Cutting out your drive is a huge win for emissions, but you trade it for way less casual human contact. You have to decide if that's a good swap for you.

The 'engine of loneliness' @cole183 mentioned, I fight it with scheduled virtual coffee chats.

Scheduling video chats for coffee is a start, but it misses the random talks. Making them regular helps build a real bond.
