The $150 electric mower my dad swore by is actually a pain

He kept saying battery mowers are the future and I should ditch gas. I finally got one last month, a Greenworks 80V. But the battery dies after mowing just half my lawn, which is only a quarter acre in Portland. Now I gotta wait 4 hours to recharge or buy a second $200 battery. Anyone else find these things overhyped for anything bigger than a postage stamp?

Battery dies after mowing just half my lawn" I feel that man. My brother got a similar Greenworks setup and we timed it once, the battery crapped out at 47 minutes exactly. Ended up borrowing his neighbor's gas mower just to finish the job and felt like a traitor the whole time lol.

Yeah but that battery paid for itself in gas savings in like two months though.
