Swapped my gas leaf blower for a battery one last spring
I used to spend every Saturday morning making a racket with the gas blower until my neighbor yelled 'you know those things emit 23 times the CO2 as a truck?' over the fence. Picked up a Ryobi 40V model after that and honestly it's quieter and I don't have to pull the cord 15 times to start it. Anybody else switch and notice the difference, or am I just lucky so far?

The battery ones are seriously a game changer, no joke. I switched last summer after my old gas blower died and I couldn't justify buying another one. The instant start is the best part, especially after the 20 pull cord ritual every damn time. I was worried it wouldn't have enough power for wet leaves but my 40V handles everything just fine. Plus my ears don't ring for an hour after I use it, which is nice. It's wild how much quieter it is, I can actually talk to my neighbor while I'm blowing the driveway now lol.

The instant start is nice, but I still think gas has more power for heavy wet stuff.
