Spent a whole weekend trying to find a place that would take my old broken microwave for recycling. Called 8 places before I found one that would, and it was a 40 minute drive.

Absolutely! I had the same thing happen with a couch last month.

Yeah, @phoenixa64, it's crazy how hard it is to get rid of big junk.
