Solar quote in Denver came in $4k higher than I expected, now weighing panels vs. community solar

I got three bids for a 6kW roof setup and the best price from a local installer was $18,500, but my neighbor pays $0.02/kWh less with a community solar subscription, so I'm wondering if anyone here ditched rooftop for shared arrays and regretted it or loved it?
