Showerthought: my neighbor's new electric car uses less power than his old air conditioner
I was chatting with him in his driveway yesterday and he showed me his home energy app. His EV, a Chevy Bolt, added about 300 kilowatt-hours to his bill last month. But his old central AC unit, which he replaced last summer, used over 400 kWh in July alone. I always figured a car would be the biggest power hog in a house, but nope. Has anyone else seen their actual numbers for stuff like this? It kind of flipped my thinking on what really uses energy.

Heard the same from my buddy with his Tesla.

Wonder if the charging network strain is making all EVs feel slower lately.

My last charge felt like it took forever too.
