My brother argued that buying a used truck is worse for the planet than a new hybrid.
He pointed out my 2012 F-150 gets 15 miles per gallon and that the carbon from building one new efficient car is less than a decade of my old truck's exhaust, which made me actually run the numbers for the first time.

My buddy traded his old SUV for a Prius and his guilt trip vanished, lol. He did the math too and was shocked.

Wait, he was actually feeling guilty about driving an SUV? I know a few people with big trucks who joke about it, but they'd never admit to real guilt. What was he doing, apologizing to every gas pump?
