Just realized my leaf blower habit was worse than I thought
I was out last Saturday blowing leaves off my driveway like I do every fall, and my neighbor came over and said her little dog was shaking from the noise. She told me a single gas leaf blower puts out more emissions than driving a Ford F-150 for 100 miles. I looked it up later and she was right, something like 23 pounds of CO2 per hour. Now I'm thinking about getting a cordless electric one, has anyone here made the switch and does it handle wet leaves okay?

Wait that 23 pounds of CO2 per hour can't be right, that's insane.

Just wait till you look up what a cargo ship puts out. That 23 pounds will look like a rounding error.

Wait, is that actually what jets put out? That number sounds crazy high but I guess it makes sense when you think about how much fuel those things burn. @uma_webb28 I started noticing this same pattern with a lot of everyday stuff after I looked up how much energy my AC uses in the summer. It's wild how little things like that add up to way more than you'd expect, and nobody really talks about it.
