I walked 40 minutes to the wrong bus stop for 3 weeks before someone finally told me the app was off by a street
Kept blaming myself for missing the 7:15 every morning when the map pin was just wrong the whole time. Curious if anyone else has had a transit app send them to the wrong block.
The part that gets me is how long you trusted the app over your own two eyes. Three weeks of walking 40 minutes means your gut was probably telling you something was off way earlier, but the pin looked so official you ignored it. People treat map apps like they can't be wrong, when really they're just data someone typed in once and never checked again. A street off in a grid city can be a whole different bus line, different route, different crowd of people waiting. The app doesn't know it's wrong and it never will.
