I used to think my old car was fine because I drove it less

For years I kept my 2002 sedan, telling myself it was okay since I only drove it to the store in town. Then my friend asked me to look up its actual mpg, and it was 17. I realized I was burning gas just to move myself and two tons of metal a few blocks. I got an ebike for those trips instead. What other small changes actually make a bigger dent than you'd think?

Honestly, I'd keep the car lol. An ebike is great until you need groceries or it rains.

Wait, have you ever actually tried biking with a full load of groceries? I tried it once with just a few bags of stuff and nearly wiped out turning into my driveway because the weight threw off my balance. Plus, those pannier bags they sell are not cheap, mine ripped after like three uses. Idk, maybe I'm just clumsy but it felt way more hassle than it was worth for a quick milk run.

Oh man, I read something about how just fixing a leaky faucet can save a ton of water over a year. @wendy_park76 has a point about the rain, but for dry days, those small trips really add up.
