Debate: Did the town's new bike lanes actually help or hurt local traffic?
I'm in Portland and our city just put in protected bike lanes on 12th Avenue last month, cutting car lanes from four to two. Now traffic is backed up for blocks during rush hour and a lot of neighbors are mad about it. Do you think reducing car lanes for bikes is worth the congestion, or are we just making things worse for everyone?

Give it a month people will get over it.

Do you really think people’s attention spans are that short with something this big? Stuff like this usually sticks around way longer than a month, especially when everyone’s still talking about it.

Wait, have you ACTUALLY seen how fast people move on from stuff these days? I remember a similar thing went down last year and by the second week almost nobody in my friend group even brought it up anymore. It's CRAZY how quick the internet just forgets and hops onto the next drama. Like, people get all fired up for a few days, tweet about it a bunch, then something ELSE happens and it's totally gone. I'm with you on this one, for real.
