Changed my mind about solar after visiting the county fair

I went to the county fair last month and saw a booth where they had a tiny solar setup powering a whole popcorn machine. The guy running it showed me how much power it made over the day and it was way more than I thought for such a small panel. Has anyone else had a real-life demo change their view on something renewable?

That "tiny solar setup powering a whole popcorn machine" thing is exactly what got me too. I saw a similar demo at a home show with a little fan running off a panel in the shade, and it blew my mind how much it could do. It's like seeing it in person just makes the numbers click, you know? Before that I thought solar was this huge, expensive thing but it's actually pretty small and simple.
