Bought a compost tumbler off Facebook Marketplace for $20
Thing spun my kitchen scraps around for a month, opened it up and found basically soup with a side of mold. Do I just need more brown material or is this thing a lost cause?

Woah, I read somewhere that compost tumblers need way more browns than you'd think to balance out all the wet kitchen scraps. Sounds like you might need to aim for a 2 to 1 ratio of browns to greens to soak up that extra moisture. Before giving up, try adding shredded cardboard or dry leaves and see if it firms up in a week or two.
