Appreciation post: That one cool week in June where my AC barely ran
Last summer we had a random week in June where temps stayed in the low 70s and it rained just enough. I didn't touch my thermostat once and my electric bill dropped by $45 compared to the month before. It felt weirdly good to just open windows and let the breeze do the work. Has anyone else had a stretch of weather that made you rethink how much energy you normally waste?

That week really does make you stop and think about how much we've gotten used to just setting it and forgetting it, you know? I've noticed that when we get those rare stretches of perfect weather, it kind of highlights how disconnected we've become from actually paying attention to our homes and the environment around us. It's like a little reminder that sometimes the simplest solutions, like opening a window, are the ones we overlook the most because we've automated everything.
