Tried Edgewater Park for the first time in years, totally changed my mind

Always been a Wendy Park guy because Edgewater felt too crowded and the beach was always trashed. My buddy dragged me there last Saturday and the new pier area plus the clean sand completely won me over. Anyone else switch favorite spots after the renovations?

Did they actually get a magnet rig out there? Because I went two weeks ago and still found a rusty fishing hook near the water line. The pier is nice but they didn't touch the actual beach area where everyone sits. I'll stick with Wendy Park where I know the sand won't surprise me.

Wait they actually cleaned up the sand? Last time I was there I stepped on a broken bottle and a rusty hook. Might have to give it another shot then.

Yeah I heard they finally got someone out there with a proper sifter and magnet rig to clean it up. Read a local news blurb saying they pulled out like fifty pounds of trash in one weekend. Give it a shot but maybe still watch where you step, you know how it is.
