Tried deep cleaning my oven with baking soda and vinegar instead of store stuff

I live over by Gordon Square and my oven was a mess after the holidays. Figured I'd save $12 and try the baking soda paste method I saw online instead of buying Easy-Off. Let it sit for 3 hours and scrubbed for 20 minutes, but the baked on grease near the back barely budged. Learned that sometimes the chemical stuff is worth it for the tough jobs, at least on my gas range. Anyone else find a DIY cleaner that actually works on caked on messes around here?

Three hours? That's dedication right there, wow. I've never had baking soda and vinegar work on anything tougher than a stovetop spill myself.
