The Lorain Ave bike lane finally clicked for me on my Tuesday commute
I ride from the West Blvd rapid stop down to Detroit Shoreway most mornings and for the past year or so that stretch of Lorain felt like a death wish with cars parked in the lane. Last month the city put up those flexible post dividers between W 65th and W 85th and I swear my ride time dropped by almost 4 minutes because I'm not weaving into traffic every block. It's not perfect, half the posts by the Save A Lot are already leaning, but I actually had a car wave me through at a driveway this week instead of creeping into my handlebars. Has anyone else noticed a change on their route since they put those in, or is it just my imagination?
