Spent $80 on a snowblower tune-up, then the snow melted that weekend

Paid a guy off Lorain Ave to tune up my old Toro snowblower, and naturally we got zero snow the whole rest of February. Has anyone else dumped cash into winter prep only for the weather to completely screw you?

Man, that is the universal law of snowblower ownership right there. Bought a brand new Honda blower a few years back and I swear we didn't get a single flake over two inches for the whole winter. My neighbor still gives me a hard time about it, says I jinxed the whole street. Your mileage may vary, but I've learned to just do the tune-up in October and then hope for the best, knowing full well the weather gods are just going to laugh at me.

Bet the snow gods have a DIRECT hotline to whoever works at that shop. They probably called ahead and said "hold off on the flakes, Skyler paid his $80 tax.

Terry, I gotta disagree with you a little. That tune-up is peace of mind for when the big one does hit, even if it didn't pay off this year.
