Got towed from my own apartment lot on Detroit Ave last night

I parked in my assigned spot but forgot to display the new permit they mailed out last week, came out at 7am and my car was gone. $185 to get it back from the impound lot on Berea Road, has anyone else dealt with that management company being super strict about the stickers?

Isn't following their rules part of living in a rental, even if the rules feel annoying? They sent out the permits for a reason and probably have a ton of people who ignore them, so they have to be strict about it. $185 is a tough lesson but honestly that's pretty standard for tow fees around here.

Heard from a property manager that permits don't excuse bad parking, @margaretshah nailed it though.
