Cost me $620 to park on West 25th for one night, and I finally snapped
Last Friday I took my wife to dinner near the West Side Market, parked in a lot I assumed was free after 6pm like the one by my old place in Old Brooklyn. We ate, walked around for an hour, came back to a boot on the car and a $620 bill between the ticket and the removal fee. I paid it because fighting the city over a lot that has one tiny sign behind a dumpster is a losing game. What gets me is this was the third time in two years a parking sign on the near west side tricked me, and I am done guessing. Does anyone have a lot they actually trust down there, or is the trick just to park at the Rapid and walk?
