Wire brush vs drill attachment for soot, my back thanks me now

I spent a full Friday on a 3-story flue in Columbus hand scraping with a wire brush, took me close to 6 hours and my arms felt like noodles. Tried a drill attachment with a 36 inch flex shaft this past Tuesday on another job and knocked the same amount of buildup out in under 2 hours. Has anyone else switched over to power tools for the rough pass, or do you stick with hand brushes to protect the liner?

I was all about hand brushing to protect the liner, but seeing that 6 hours cut down to 2 changed my mind real quick. My arms are way less angry too.
