Threw away $80 on a cheap polypropylene inspection camera that fogged up on my first flue job in Scranton last week

The lens completely clouded over from the temperature change in under 2 minutes and I had to fish it out blind, has anyone found a budget camera that actually holds up in cold chimneys?

Wait you actually fished it out blind through a whole flue? That's nuts, I would've just cut my losses and bought another one. I had a cheap endoscope fog up on me once and it's maddening how fast it happens.

Yeah couple years back I dropped a wrench down the same type of flue and had to tape three magnets together on a wire to get it out. Worked better than any endoscope I've tried since.
