Switched to a rotary brush and wow what a difference
For years I was using just rods and hand scrapers on all my flue jobs. Then I watched a guy in the next crew over at a job in Portland finish a 6 inch liner in like 20 minutes with this rotary brush setup. I bought one off his recommendation and tried it on a real sooty chimney last Tuesday. The before was a solid quarter inch of creosote and the after looked like brand new tile in half the normal time. Has anyone else had better luck with rotary over manual for heavy buildup?

Had a buddy from work who swore this was just a waste of money, kept talking trash about it. Then his wife bought him a sample pack for his birthday, just to shut him up you know. He called me two days later all embarrassed, said he went back and bought the full set that same afternoon. Still uses it every single day now, won't shut up about the difference.

wait wait wait, he actually CALLED you to admit he was wrong? thats wild, i dont think ive ever had a guy do that in my life. usually they just double down on whatever they said and pretend they always liked it. your buddy must have been REAL impressed to make that kind of call, haha. maybe i gotta give this thing a second look, cuase people dont usually eat crow like that for nothing.
