Remember when we'd just throw a tarp down and sweep from the bottom up?

After a soot avalanche ruined a customer's rug in '08, I switched to a top-down method with a HEPA vac running the whole time. Anyone else find the old way just isn't worth the risk anymore?

My uncle's garage in Toledo still has a soot stain on the concrete floor from 1998. We used to just blast everything out the door. Now I see this everywhere, like how we all double-check a link before we click it or actually read the manual for a new grill. The old way was faster but you're right, it's just not worth the mess you have to fix later.

Man that stain has been there since I was a kid. Does your uncle ever try to clean it or is it just a permanent part of the garage now? Honestly it's wild how we all used to just skip the safety stuff for speed. I feel that with the grill manual, I used to just start pressing buttons and hope nothing caught fire. Took a few close calls to finally slow down and read the thing.
