Newer liner kits are hiding a fire hazard nobody talks about

I was reading through the NFPA 211 updates last week and found out that some of the flexible stainless liners sold for retrofits have a minimum bend radius that's way bigger than what most installers are using. I nearly kinked one on a tight offset in an old brick stack outside Denver and it could have collapsed later, blocking the flue completely. The spec sheet buried it on page 4, not even in bold. Has anyone else tested their liner bends with a proper gauge before dropping it down a chase?
