Just wasted $180 on a titanium rod set I'll never use
Bought this fancy titanium brush rod set from an online supplier thinking it'd last forever. First job with heavy creosote and the bristles started bending after like 10 sweeps. Stick with standard steel rods, they're way more rugged for the price.

Yeah I read somewhere that titanium is actually softer than steel in some applications, just lighter and doesn't rust. That creosote stuff is brutal on bristles no matter what material they are. Sounds like the supplier just marketed it as "premium" but the metal can't handle real job site abuse.

Did you actually try using titanium brushes on creosote yourself or just going off what you heard?
