Hit my 500th flue cleaning yesterday and couldn't stop laughing

I counted up my logs and realized I've done exactly 500 flue cleanings since I started sweeping 4 years ago... never thought I'd hit such a round number. Anybody else keep track of their tallies or am I just weird about it?

That's 500 not 500th actually, since "500th" would mean you were cleaning a flue that was literally number 500. Sorry, couldn't help myself, I'm a stickler for that kind of thing. Cool milestone though, hitting a nice even number like that feels good. I don't keep exact tallies but I know I'm somewhere around 300 or so in 3 years, definitely not as organized as you.

Reminds me of how my buddy Jerry counts his miles when we go hiking. He keeps a little notebook and writes down each trail as "mile 47" instead of just saying he did 47 miles total. Drives me nuts but he says it makes each walk feel special. I guess some folks just like keeping track the exact way. Either way, 500 cleanings is solid work no matter how you count it.
