Hit 500 cleanings last week and it got me thinking about quality vs quantity

I hit 500 residential chimney cleanings last Friday in Cleveland and I'm torn between feeling proud of the volume and wondering if I'm rushing through jobs. Some guys say you gotta do 8 a day to make real money, but has anyone else noticed their inspection quality dropping when you push that hard?

You're wondering if your inspection quality drops when you push for 8 a day... I'd say maybe that's the point. More volume means more experience, more chances to spot problems fast. Rushing doesn't mean missing stuff if you know what to look for. I hit 600 last year in Cleveland and some of my best calls came from those quick jobs where I trusted my gut over triple checking everything.

Man that's so true. It's like when I cook dinner - if I overthink every step and measure everything three times, I somehow mess it up more. But when I just go with it and trust what I know, it comes out better. That gut feeling in inspections or anything really is just your brain's shortcut from all the small stuff you've already done.
