Got stuck on a 1920s flue liner in Cincinnati that took me a solid 8 hours to clear
The old terra cotta tiles had shifted and jammed a section of my rotary brush so tight I had to chip it out piece by piece. Anyone else run into a liner that just refused to let go?

Man that sounds like a nightmare, I feel for you. Those old terra cotta liners get so brittle and lock up like concrete. Had a similar fight last year with a liner that basically turned to powder and fused around the brush. Sometimes you just have to go at it with a hammer and chisel and accept the lost time.

Used to think that was overkill, but @harper_wright is right, sometimes the hammer is the only answer.
